Congratulations on your opening day, Wild Onion Market!

On June 12th, Wild Onion Market in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago, IL celebrated its opening day with its 2,100+ owners and entire community. Yesterday’s celebration was a culmination of over a decade of community building, fundraising, and careful planning - and the community turned out in droves! After 11 years of organizing, Wild Onion board members, current and past, cut the ribbon together and invited the community into their store. We are thrilled for Wild Onion Market’s owners, board, staff, and the entire Chicago/Evanston community!

FCI is honored to have supported the Wild Onion Market over all 11 years of their organizing, having even led annual planning retreats for them on-site in Chicago in 2015 and 2016! They have participated in the Up & Coming Conference and our Peer Learning Groups every year they have been offered, utilized our technical assistance and resources, and have always generously shared their learning with their peer startup organizers across the country.
